VIeon, the keytar wielding, moog operating electronic project from the UK, has released their first piece of music in over five years since 'Music for Supermarkets'. Continuing the trend of creating songs based off of mundane places, events, and object, Vieon has decided to pay homage to the Inter-City 125 train, a diesel-powered, high-speed passenger train that took around eight years to complete between 1975 and 1982 by British Rail Engineering Limited. The three-track EP contains the original song, a version of 'Railfreight Movement II', and a radio edit of 'Inter-City'. You can stream / purchase the EP directly below; tote bags and shirts that come with a digital download are also available.

Matt Wild, founder of the project, announced explained his inspiration for the single, "We’ve spent the last seven years on-off touring the UK and beyond so it’s long past time we were back in the studio for a new release.  I’ve always been fascinated by the machines that move us, and I’ve had ephemeral plans for years to write a song or album on that basis. My partner bought me a copy of the British Rail Corporate Identity Manual (highly recommended for fellow graphic design nerds everywhere) around the time I was looking for inspiration and so it finally stuck."

Vieon has also announced a six-date headline tour across England in September and October. You can catch them at Salford (15/09), Leeds (16/09), Todmorden (17/09), Bristol (28/09), Coventry (30/09) and London (01/10). Expect friends of AnalogueTrash and label-mates to be at some of these shows.

I've been writing for Brutal Resonance since November of 2012 and now serve as the editor-in-chief. I love the dark electronic underground and usually have too much to listen to at once but I love it. I am also an editor at Aggressive Deprivation, a digital/physical magazine since March of 2016. I support the scene as much as I can from my humble laptop.
