Crusty. Industrial-y. Synth-y. With these powers combined he is , a project whose roots are found in post-industrial, punk, hardcore, and d-beat scenes of Australia, New Zealand, and Germany. Kieren Hills is the face behind Schkeuditzer Kreuz, a former resident of New Zealand who now resides in the Blue Mountains of New South Wales, Australia. All that information out of the way, Schkeuditzer Kreuz has just released his brand-new album "No Life Left" in vinyl, cassette, and digital formats. This is Schkeuditzer Kreuz's sophomore album that follows his 2021 debut "Isolated and Alone". You can stream / purchase it directly from Schkeuditzer Kreuz below.

Kieren spoke of the album and had this to say:

I have learned a lot about recording since ‘Isolated and Alone’ – what can be done with sound, and how to make what I hear in my head come through to other people’s ears. It’s all still just me – playing a few different machines and bashing on random pieces of metal – but I have learned how to refine it and make it bigger and, to me, better. The writing itself hasn’t changed much – I get ideas at any time of the day or night and just work at them until they are done.  I don’t go in with a specific goal in mind, I work until the song is done, and then sit back and wonder where it came from.

"No Life Left" is also available in the US from Sorry State Records and in Australia from Bad Habit Records. Schkeuditzer Kreuz has also released two videos for 'Joy' and 'Second Life'. Scheuditzer Kreuz will be on tour starting mid-September. Catch him if you can. Dates below.

I've been writing for Brutal Resonance since November of 2012 and now serve as the editor-in-chief. I love the dark electronic underground and usually have too much to listen to at once but I love it. I am also an editor at Aggressive Deprivation, a digital/physical magazine since March of 2016. I support the scene as much as I can from my humble laptop.
