If mumble rap is the bane of the current hip-hop scene, then men chanting in deep misery to bass guitars and synths must be the same for darkwave. Jokes aside, Hide Tepes (best known as the founder of the industrial metal project Carrion) has started up a new project titled BRIDES. This minimal post-punk / darkwave project has released their third single thus far titled 'Crystalline' which will be released in a collected EP titled "Letters From A Holy Nowhere". No release date as of yet, but you can check out the start of this journey below.

Earlier this year I found myself playing around with a Korg MS20 and some minimal beats I made just to play to. During the same time I begun writing aimlessly and eventually I combined these two and recorded it. I put it out with no real promotion or fanfare as it was never intended as anything other than a way to kill some time and mess around. I put it on a Bandcamp site just to make it easier to send to a couple friends and decided to keep this semi anonymous thing going. I bought an acoustic guitar and began incorporating that , slowly I picked the bass back up again and soon enough I had a handful of songs made for no one but myself with no real plan in mind. -Hide Tepes

I've been writing for Brutal Resonance since November of 2012 and now serve as the editor-in-chief. I love the dark electronic underground and usually have too much to listen to at once but I love it. I am also an editor at Aggressive Deprivation, a digital/physical magazine since March of 2016. I support the scene as much as I can from my humble laptop.
