Sometimes I’ll head onto Bandcamp to check out some information about the band; I don’t expect a ton of info in the about section, but a little blip saying what they do, who’s in the band, or something like that is nice. Supernova 1006’s description simply reads, “no”. Thankfully, the music speaks for itself; a blend of darkwave and synthwave melded into one beautiful concoction straight out of Saint Petersburg, Russia.

The project has seen prominence on a ton of record labels including Werkstatt Recordings, Sierpien Records, Other Voices, and Orbita, and with the release of their latest album they’re adding Negative Gain Productions to the tally marks. The digital only album “Chains” reflects on what it means to truly be you. When life comes rolling at you, barreling down in an unprecedented manner, what does that inner turmoil do to you? Does it change you around or do you maintain yourself? Identity at its finest. You can stream / purchase the album directly below.

I've been writing for Brutal Resonance since November of 2012 and now serve as the editor-in-chief. I love the dark electronic underground and usually have too much to listen to at once but I love it. I am also an editor at Aggressive Deprivation, a digital/physical magazine since March of 2016. I support the scene as much as I can from my humble laptop.
