Richard van Kruysdijk, known for his work in the glam-goth project DEAD LIGHTS, has officially launched his side-project FAKE YOUTH CULT. RVK’s ambition with this project is to subvert expectations of techno and EDM alike. He’s aiming to use limited hardware to craft his own brand of “raw EBM with a dark, cyber industrial edge.” FAKE YOUTH CULT’s debut EP “Discipline” launched on December 18th, 2023 on all major streaming platforms, including Bandcamp where there’s an exclusive bonus track titled ‘Headless’. You can stream and purchase it below:

FAKE YOUTH CULT has also released a music video / visualizer for their single ‘Artery’ which creates art out of blood. Fitting for the title, isn’t it? You can check that out below.

I've been writing for Brutal Resonance since November of 2012 and now serve as the editor-in-chief. I love the dark electronic underground and usually have too much to listen to at once but I love it. I am also an editor at Aggressive Deprivation, a digital/physical magazine since March of 2016. I support the scene as much as I can from my humble laptop.
