Have you ever loved a piece of land, place, city, or town so much that you thought to yourself, “Hm, I wish there were a song about this”? I mean, there’s a hundred-plus songs about New York at this point so someone has to make music about some other location. And that’s where Xqui and Dead Voices on Air step in. Both living in Northern England in Lancashire and Yorkshire respectively, they hold these hills and valleys so much so that they decided to collaborate with one another to create an ambient, experimental album titled “Pennine”. But this isn’t just a collaboration between two artists as both Re:Mission Entertainment and Emergency Hearts are working together to release this album.

“Pennine” is due out on July 25th, 2023 and will be released in digital and CD formats. Shirts are available as well in black and grey, showing off the album art. You can stream / pre-order the album below.

I've been writing for Brutal Resonance since November of 2012 and now serve as the editor-in-chief. I love the dark electronic underground and usually have too much to listen to at once but I love it. I am also an editor at Aggressive Deprivation, a digital/physical magazine since March of 2016. I support the scene as much as I can from my humble laptop.
