Crystal Cage - "Deimond"
Crystal Cage is now officially a go-to instrumental, dark ambient, and wholly unique project for myself. Describing their work can be tough to do so in just a few words but luckily I wrote this review of a collection of their EPs a bit back; that can tell you all you need to know about the project. That being said, the mysterious project has released a new EP titled "Deimond" which harkens back to the days of their first few releases. You can purchase / stream it directly below:

Star Noir - 'See Ya'
Pinning down Star Noir is not as simple as calling them synthwave and walking away; no, that would be too easy. While the retro influences are included within their music so many other genres come out to play. While not the darkest piece in the world, Star Noir's new single 'See Ya' is a bold track that captures "the transition and loss of childhood". You can purchase / stream the single directly below:

Diesel Sex - "First Death"
For those of you looking for industrial that's sludgier and doom-ier than you have to look no further than this space here. DIESELSEX is an industrial metal project whose influences include Author & Punisher and Godflesh. If I need to say more than that then you need to take some time to listen to some quality music. Anyway, the project has just released a new EP titled "First Death" and you can purchase / stream it directly below:

Incentive - "20200420"
Post-industrial project Incentive has released a brand new live album titled "20200420". This is a Bandcamp exclusive and was part of Screaming Into the Void's Voidfest 1. A live video feed from the event is available to stream over on YouTube but the full, noisy set can be streamed / purchased directly below:

O.R.K.O CLICK - "Do Flowers Bite?"
Though seemingly outside of our box when reading the tags for the project (hip hop, footwork jungle, rap beats), O.R.K.O CLICK's output and debut album "Do Flowers Bite?" is glitchy as all hell and has a ton of experimental works found within. The structure may be rooted in rap / hip-hop but the overall nature of the album makes it an electronic thrill ride. You can stream / purchase the album below:

Horizon of the Mute - "The Last Charnel House"
Industrial / doom project Horizon of the Mute has released a brand new double titled "The Last Charnel House". This serves as a preview to their upcoming album "Voidscope" and contains the title track 'The Last Charnel House' as well as 'Beltane-Lughnasadh'. You can purchase / stream the EP directly below:

6th Circle - "Pacified / Conjuring"
Industrial project 6th Circle has been making a name for themselves for the past couple of years. Teaming up with record label Sentient Ruin has helped them garner further fervor within the scene and it's for that reason that their first two EPs "Pacified" and "Conjuring" are being compiled onto a brand new LP set. The LP is set to be released on May 15th, 2020 in a single variant as well as a combo pack containing their 2019 debut album "The Third Estate". A digital version is also available for those of you looking to save space. Check it out below:

Apocalypse Rex - "Bossa Nova Psychedelic"
Synthwave and metal combine in Apocalypse Rex's new EP "Bossa Nova Psychedelic". A self-proclaimed breed of half-man, half-dinosaur, and all synthesize, this manimal sure knows how to work some electronics. You can purchase / stream the EP directly below:

Animachines - 'Pandemia'
I love when band's give out a fictional story behind their project. The story goes that Patrick Tovey (a synthesizer lover) and his partner Alma (digital artist) adopted a cat named Franky and made a robot named Wolfgang. Alma sadly passed, but then it turned out that Franky was a medium connecting the spirit world to ours. And thus Alma returned in spirit form. Thus formed the Animachines. Quite wild, eh? Anyway, the band released a new single that you can check out below:

Lorenzo Abattoir - "A.throat.full.of.earth"
Lorenzo Abattoir is a musician whose self-described genre is concrete noise. He has a brand new album titled "A.throat.full.of.earth" coming out on May 8th, 2020 via Tides of Cluster, a sub-label of Reverse Alignment. It will be coming out in both limited edition CD and digital formats and can be ordered / streamed directly below:

Skeletech - 'Primitive Violence'
Industrial metal project Skeletech has released their debut single 'Primitive Violence'. If you're into raw thrash metal and with sprinkled elements of electronic goodies within then this might just be for you. Combining influences ranging from techno to synthwave to industrial, as well as science fiction and body horror, Skeletech's debut is available to stream / purchase directly below:

Unitcode:Machine - "Paper Empires"
Industrial / futurepop project Unitcode:Machine has returned with a brand new EP titled "Paper Empires". Featuring the title track as well as remixes from Uncreated, Switchface, Technolorgy, and Region Adjunct, you can stream / purchase the EP directly below:

Mass TerrorX - "Wallflower Messiah"
Mass TerrorX is a brand new aggrotech project from Ukraine who released their debut album "Wallflower Messiah" back in February of 2020. The nine track album also features a collaboration with Xentrifuge which is pretty dope. You can stream / purchase the album directly below:

Hydra Transmitter - "Drone Works"
If the title did not spoil what is inside this album then let me tell you: it's an album full of drone works. While not my personal cup of tea, I note that there are those of you who visit the site who find this pieces meditative in some sense. The full album from Hydra Transmitter will be released later on this month but you can pre-order it now and you can check it out directly below:

Hostile Surgery - "The Day Called 'X'"
Minimal noise is the name of the game here and that's what Hostile Surgery's "The Day Called 'X'" is all about. A four track album of almost inaudible sounds which the creator has stated is best listened to with headphones and extreme isolation. Headphones are easy enough to come by as is isolation due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but have at it:

Black Nail Cabaret - "Gods Verging On Sanity"
We've covered Black Nail Cabaret multiple times in the past so if you're not familiar with them by now then it's your own damn fault. Anyway, this dark synthpop project has a hypnotic way of transcending the genre and planting their music in your mind for good. 'No Gold' released a while ago and now they've announced that they are signed to Dependent Records and will be releasing their new album "Gods Verging On Sanity" in CD and Vinyl formats on May 8th. You can check out the music video for 'No Gold' below and you can pre-order the album HERE.

Blood Cycle Noise - "Merry Go Round"
Blood Cycle Noise is the project of a mastering engineer Alessandro Bonuglia who, with the lack of work due to the Covid-19 pandemic, has tapped back into his passion for synths and electronics music. That being said we have received his EP "Merry Go Round" whose title track can be streamed directly below. You can also purchase the EP via iTunes or Amazon.

Schultz - 'Rats In The Sewers'
Industrial metal project has just released their new album "Black Magic Party" and thus have also released a music video off of the album. Saying that we are all like "rats in the sewer' during quarantine, you can stream the video below. "Black Magic Party" is available in digital and limited edition signed CDs HERE.

System 6 - 'Contrive'
A new single from industrial metal project System 6 has been unleashed unto the world. With black and red imagery within the music video and some glitchy effects, you can view the video directly below. The song is available from multiple sources including Bandcamp but you can make your purchasing decision HERE.

I've been writing for Brutal Resonance since November of 2012 and now serve as the editor-in-chief. I love the dark electronic underground and usually have too much to listen to at once but I love it. I am also an editor at Aggressive Deprivation, a digital/physical magazine since March of 2016. I support the scene as much as I can from my humble laptop.
