halicon - "Vacant Splines"
Everyone who follows Brutal should know of Hexadiode by now, the industrial and electronic punk project from Dayton, Ohio. Well, one-half of the project Tim Krug has taken the time during quarantine to dig through his archives for his IDM project halicon. What came up were a bunch of songs "in their original form, some with updated mixes, and others salvaged in more creative ways." You can check out the melodic side of Krug directly below:

Brainclaw - "Deceptor"
A sixteen year trilogy comes to an end with Brainclaw's brand new album "Deceptor". An electro-industrial project formed in 1990, it is a sci-fi and horror themed project whose influences include Gary Numan, Project Pitchfork, and Front 242. "Deceptor" contains eleven original tracks and one remix to mark the end of an Era and the beginning of a new one. You can purchase / stream the album directly below:

Droid Sector Decay - "Decayde of Industrial"
Droid Sector Decay has been a mainstay on the site for every album they've unleashed for the past couple of years. That being said, they've been around since 2009 which is before I even started to write for Brutal. That's why the project has decided to gather a bunch of unreleased, remixed, and remastered songs from 2009 to 2019 to put out in a special collection. While only available in digital format as of right now, a 2CD edition will be available for pre-order soon enough. You can check it out below:

Exemia - "The Remix Vault Vol. 2"
Exemia is no stranger to the underground electronic and industrial scene. His prowess with synthetic machinery goes beyond genres, however, as he shows in this recent collection of remixes that just dropped. Featuring twenty-one songs in total from various artists he has remixed such as I Ya Toyah, Zwaremachine, and Machine on Blast, you can check out the entire thing directly below:

Humans Can't Reboot - "Lost Soul"
Humans Can't Reboot is a synthpop and futurepop project rolled into one who I have never heard of before now! Nonetheless that doesn't stop them from crafting some lovely synthetic music. "Lost Soul" will be out on May 22nd in both digital and CD digipack formats. While not all of the songs are available for streaming as of just yet, you can check out three of them right now. 'Starlight' is the one I'd recommend giving a shot but the choice is yours:

Chaos Vector - "Eskhaton"
From Brussels, Belgium comes a new cyberpunk and dark synth project named Chaos Vector. This is their debut album titled "Eskhaton" but it is already garnering quite a bit of steam with fans praising its production and themes. Cold-War aesthetics meet EBM-inspired drums against the backdrops of terror attacks and fake news campaigns. You can check it out directly below:

TONTTU - "Gnostrogoth"
Ah, it seems as our once great commander and general of the Anti-Gnome army TONTTU will finally be relieved of his duties after such a long time of leading the forefront of the battle. TONTTU is a crazy project that blames all the world's problems on gnomes. Lost your keys? Gnomes. Got mugged? Gnomes. Got caught cheating on your wife and lost the kids in the divorce? Gnomes. We've covered this project extensively in the past and it's a bit bittersweet seeing them go out but all good things must come to an end. The final album from TONTTU "Gnostrogoth" is available in digital format (2CD soon available) via Panicmachine. You can check it out / purchase it directly below:

Zen Hander - "Zen Hander"
We received this on via a WeTransfer link with little to no information about the project. However, after extensive research (AKA we Googled the project) we found out that this is a project based out of San Antonio, TX. Or so that's what the Bandcamp page states. This is their self-titled, debut EP which will be out in both digital and limited edition cassette formats on July 1st, 2020. You can stream the song 'Black - Spore Agarics' directly below:

Vein Collector - "Void Eclipse"
Industrial metal project with techno influences Vein Collector has unleashed a brand new album titled "Void Eclipse". This comes after a near eight year wait since their last album, 2012's "Prophet". The producer has released music since then including a few singles and EPs all of which can be streamed and purchased via Bandcamp. You can check out "Void Eclipse" directly below:

ASH3S - "Peoples Necrosis"
Unsettling dark ambient and drone tones is what ASH3S is all about. "Peoples Necrosis" is their new album that was just unleashed via NoiseUp, an internet sub-label of Synth-Me. The label focuses on dark ambient, noise, power electronics, ritual and occult themes, and more. You can check this album out directly below:

Neo-Cymex - "Place of Fear"
Dark ambient producer has looked to Mayan lore to create a brand new album titled "Place of Fear". Based off of Xibalba (place of fear), this was the lowest of the nine underworlds and was ruled by ten Lords and demons who enjoyed to humiliate and torture people with a series of tests. You can check out how this translates to a musical album directly below:

Damokles - "Hyperwave"
Combining elements of synthpop and retro-aesthetic keen to the synthwave genre, Damokles was a DJ back from '79 to '87 and spent many years on the road as a live musician. Nowadays he takes a seat in his home studio and produces chill beats for us all to enjoy. The digital album "Hyperwave" just released and you can check it out directly below:

The Lost Highway - "Mermaid Shangri-La"
Be careful before you hit the play button on this one as this album seems to be mixed to be as loud as possible. Either that, or there's something funky with my speakers. Nonetheless, The Lost Highway is an electronic project with influences from dreamwave, goth, industrial, new wave, and general 80s aesthetic. The project has been around for a while with nine albums in total released via Bandcamp completely free to stream, though the option to purchase and support is there as well. We'll let you make that decision.

Victim Unit - 'Vagabond'
Harsh noise act Victim Unit has announced that their upcoming EP will be released on July 3rd, 2020 via Affair Records in cassette format. The project has put out the first single for the EP which is available to stream via Bandcamp. Note that the page listed below is for the physical pre-order, not the digital. The digital will come later via Hibernacula Records. You can check out the single 'Vagabond' below:

SinThya the Devil - 'Noise Song'
If you look below you will clearly note that this single from industrial and experimental project SinThya the Devil is not simply titled 'Noise Song' but contains a rather odd amount of symbols within. Nonetheless, the only two words with an upside down e and two s letters wrapping around one another are 'noise' and 'song' so I'm calling this 'Noise Song' for short. The artist can bite on my arse if they think I'm going to copy and paste the entire song title here. Okay. Rant over. This is the first official single from the project's upcoming album "The Silence" and you can check it out directly below:

Chris Alexander - 'Shock Waves'
Chris Alexander's new album "Body Double" was announced not too long ago but now the fun begins with all the relevant promo. As such, the producer and filmmaker has released a music video for the song 'Shock Waves' off of the upcoming record. You can check that out directly below and you can order your copy of the new album HERE.

I've been writing for Brutal Resonance since November of 2012 and now serve as the editor-in-chief. I love the dark electronic underground and usually have too much to listen to at once but I love it. I am also an editor at Aggressive Deprivation, a digital/physical magazine since March of 2016. I support the scene as much as I can from my humble laptop.
