Xposed Old School EBM Invoke The Insult 'Xposed' is the first official release from Invoke The Insults, a band that is from my parts of Sweden, the west coast that is. Göteborg änna! This EP is built upon tracks made from 2001-2005, and then polished, added and mastered during 2011 to finally become this release. I guess this material was meant to be released in 2005, but I guess things came in the way. If you are like me, that enjoy the smell of Belgian EBM in the morning, you should continue your reading, because this is Belgian/German Old School all the way. The problem with this release is not that it is bad, it's actually pretty descent. The problem is that bands like Proceed is like Usain Bolt and Invoke The Insult is more like a heffalump, sure, it gets out of the start and take a few leaps, but it sure is not going to be first to the finishing line. There's so much competition within this genre, you really need to be special or exceptionally good to make it to your playlist. And unfortunately, this band is not. Another thing is that the sound quality is lacking. It got that garage 90's cassette demo recorder feeling to it. I want a harder and cleaner punch to it. Tracks might worth checking out is the slow going "Silent" and the poppy "In Your Head 2". 350
