Dreams In Black And White Synthpop, Electropop Zynic Sometimes it just so happens that when the planets align and the power of the holy awesomeness shines truly bright, a perfect pop song is created. H.P Siemandel, also known as, Zynic, must have stood directly in the gazing light, probably in a pair of cool sunglasses. Because that is just what the song "Dreams In Black And White" is, a perfect pop track. It got all the ingredients a pop track needs. It got a danceable rhythm, a happy melody that is capable of merge with your DNA and a chorus that make you sing out loud. I have a terrible singing voice by the way; I will never be able to look in the eyes of my colleagues anymore. There's also an B-side called "Rescue Me" in a remix of Iris. "Rescue Me" is a track coming on Zynic's debut album, so a remix teaser by Iris is never a bad thing. It's a bit calmer, a bit moodier, but still a great pop tune. This also gives credit to Zynic, proving his "Dreams In Black And White" is simply not a one hit wonder. Zynic will probably be the big next thing. Some, quite big, artists has also understood that this is a great track and therefore this debut single is containing remixes by Leaether Strip, Assemblage 23 and Beborn Beton. Assemblage 23 adds a bit more depth and industrial beats to the track while Beborn Beton's sounds make it a bit more monotone. The surprise though is that Leaether Strip actually is not doing a clean off Leather Strip version, rather, some hidden synthpop tendencies and dreams are realized by the industrial mastermind. If, and here's a big if, Zynic is able to keep this up during an entire album, his debut album will have the potential to be album of the year. Don't believe me? Buy this single. 550
