Ultima Ratio EBM, Industrial X-Fusion X-Fusion is back once again with a brand new album simply called 'Ultima Ratio'. This stomping album is packed with none less than 12 creative and well produced tracks. The first track which is an intro called "The Calm Before the Storm" is a very moody and eerie track that builds up the mood before all hell breaks loose with the track "Leave No Seed". This album is a real club hitter with pounding drums and clever lyrics combined with nice melodies which jumps from left to right and will drive you insane. This is no ordinary harsh EBM/aggrotech, this is very special and it's a mix of everything from house influences to techno, top that of with some really aggressive distorted vocals and you have X-Fusion. My personal favorite tracks are "Leave No Seed", "House of Mirrors" and "Ultima Ratio". The sound reminds me of a soundtrack to a horror movie combined with electro, the melodies are very creepy and very driving and the production is marvelous. Also one thing that stands our quite a bit and that might cause a real fuzz is that in the track "Follow Your Leader" where X-Fusion has sampled a piece of Hitler's speech and if that isn't daring, I don't know what is. Overall this is a great album and its one of the best I've heard in a very long time. This is a solid 10/10 in my book. 550
