Lifeless Dark Electro, Harsh EBM Stahlnebel & Black Selket 'Lifeless' is the second release by the German/Dutch duo Stahlnebel & Black Selket. This is an EP with a lot of tracks on it (8 to be more exact along with 7 remixes) and it really has a lot to offer in terms of music. It's your typical Harsh EBM, but with a lot of trance influences that really make the music interesting. For instance the track "Sick" isn't very interesting until about half of the track is done and the music turns into some really melodic trance like track which is bloody awesome. "Lifeless" is a really solid track with angry distorted vocals but instead of the usual screams which is very common in this genre, you can actually hear almost every word that is song which is a real fresh wind even if I love distorted screams myself. I must say that this is a really really solid release and there are a lot of great remixes, the only negative things are that the vocals can sometimes fall behind the music on some of the tracks and that almost all remixes are of the same track, "Lifeless". I don't know if this was intended to or not but it gets a bit repetitive even if the remixes don't sound the same. What needs a bit of improvement is the level of the vocals until the next release. 550
