5+4 Acoustic, Experimental S.Q.E. S.Q.E., also known by their glorious spelled out name, Smooth Quality Excrement, is a very 80's sounding and psychedelic sounding project formed in 1997. And, I'm just gonna cut straight through the bullshit, because I'm not really enjoying this, so therefore I don't really care about the project's history all too much. It's not gonna change the way I feel about the music. I mean, the intro was interesting enough; it just played off as an answering machine message from the man behind the music, J. After that, we get into the music, and there's a lot going on all together, however, everything just really, really, sounds out of place. It's as if nothing's coordinated at all. And, sometimes, that can work very well within the noise genre, and even the experimental forefronts. However, right now, I feel like I've taken a heavy dose of drugs as I listen through, and the sad thing is I'm very relaxed right now and none of my drinks have been spiked with any sort of date rape drugs. And if they were, I would not be able to sit here and type all this out. I feel as if a lot of these songs sound the same, and I'm being thrown through a repetitious loop and it's not only boring me, but also getting on my nerves, and I don't it like when I'm listening to music and I get bored. Or annoyed. It's very painful, and makes me want to cry. Alright. I'm done. I went through the whole album, and was unable to find a single track on it that I could possibly sit down and enjoy. This, to me, is terrible. I would not recommend this album to even my greatest of enemies, for this would be a torture far too much for them. I don't think many a people could quite derive pleasure from this album, and if they could, I do hope that their mind is severely fucked because no normal man (or woman. Let's not be sexist here.) could enjoy this, in my opinion. Thank you and good day. 150

I've been writing for Brutal Resonance since November of 2012 and now serve as the editor-in-chief. I love the dark electronic underground and usually have too much to listen to at once but I love it. I am also an editor at Aggressive Deprivation, a digital/physical magazine since March of 2016. I support the scene as much as I can from my humble laptop.
