Mental Discipline - Fallen Stars CDM

With 'Fallen Stars', Mental Discipline has manage to create a perfect Futurepop hit. The melodies in this track make you close your eyes and get goose bumps. You want to scream out in joy, because the notes and melodies stimulate the exactly right places on your central nerve system.
On the vocals part, Alexandr Krivoruko has done something interesting with this track that actually was intended to be instrumental to begin with. By having Felix Marc (Frozen Plasma/Diorama) and Peter Rainman (People Theatre) do their own lyrics and vocals to the same music, you get a very interesting and different approach to it. While Felix Marc's version is the superior one (a true 10/10 track), Peter Rainman's version is still highly interesting.
My first encounter with Mental Discipline was with the track "Battlefield of Love" that was on the Synthematika Vol 2 compilation album. Even though it's in a different remix this time, it is still is so very clear that, compared with "Fallen Stars", is not even close enough to have the same impact. It's still a good track in itself, but if you place the two next to each other like this, there's a simple task to see who the alpha male among them is.
There's five remixes of the two different "Fallen Stars" versions as well. Unfortunately, most of them seem to be a bit forced. Mechanical Apfelsine and Alpha Point both manages to make some interesting versions both focused on a danceable beat. Still, if you start tempering with something that is perfect, changes are quite big that you simply mess it up, and so is the case in most of the remixes here.
Tonight, I will dream a dream about that Alexandr Krivoruko and Felix Marc join their forces in a side project. A side project that would be amazing in all possible ways, possibly so awesome it would fix world hunger with one simple keystroke. Tomorrow, I will wake up and hold believing that it is true. Please let it be so.
