MINIVIEW: North Of Warren Italo Disco, Soundtrack Haex-Hrll Though the Halloween season may be over for some, I am a man who never ceases to stop celebrating the dark holiday. This 365 day a year celebration is continued with two newer releases by Giallo Disco Records, the first of which is Haex-Hrll's EP North of Warren. The lead track on the EP is a flavored dance mix inundated with a gloomy synth and technical details. 'Life On The Federal Colonies' keeps up the darkened tone of the EP, ushering in a feeling of both exploration but entrapment. The third song 'Distress Call (Robots Escaping Through the Mud with Dogs on Their Tails)' can easily be toted as the gloomiest song on the EP - dance music for a blood soaked floor in my opinion.Rounding off the album is an Italo Disco remix of 'Test Tube Babies' done by label head Antoni Maiovvi and a late nineties inspired club mix of 'North of Warren' done by Vercetti Technicolor. Consider the ladder a song that would not be out of place in Blade. A quick, easy, and fun listen, Haex-Hrll most likely livened up several Halloween gigs - but is just starting to lighten up my day now.  450

I've been writing for Brutal Resonance since November of 2012 and now serve as the editor-in-chief. I love the dark electronic underground and usually have too much to listen to at once but I love it. I am also an editor at Aggressive Deprivation, a digital/physical magazine since March of 2016. I support the scene as much as I can from my humble laptop.
