Electro Violence Industrial Hardcore, Doomcore Frame Of Mind Frame of Mind are two young lads from the city of Tomsk in Siberia in Russia. This new EP is their third offering on TTM after the excellent debute album 'Digoxyne' which offered extremely violent rhythmnic noise with hardcore influences. The following EP 'Jessica Alba' was to fast and crossbreed for my taste, but with this new EP they return to slower tempos and even fuel the forming of the Moombahdustrial genre which i myself jokingly invented. But that style of music seems to work out! The EP starts out with the Moombahdustrial partycrasher "Asswell" with a "Hot looking babes" sample. Frame of Mind shows us the direction Industrial needs to evolve: Hot babes, and distorted dancehall/moombahton beats in a higly dancable fashion. Second track "Die Guetta" is in a similar style and is obviously about ways to kill David Guetta. The title track is very cool midtempo industrial hardcore as is the fourth track "She Shonin". The final track "Kong Fu Drummer" is not for me. To fast, too crossbreed. But four floorfillers out of five aint bad at all, and i am pretty sure the last track will do well for the crossbreed/frenchcore crowd. Frame of Mind shows again they are by far one of the best bands in the Rhythmnic noise/Industrial hardcore crossover territory. I would even go as far as saying that if you pretend to be a hard industrial DJ, and you dont have these guys in your DJ collection, you suck. Let that be a lesson. Frame of Mind fucking rules. And has hot looking babes! 450
