Blood, Sweat and Tears EBM, Dark Electro Angels on Acid Angels on Acid is an American band that plays a mix of harsh EBM/industrial with a little amount of psytrance mixed into it. This is their second full length album and third release overall. 'Blood, Sweat and Tears' is a very mixed album with a lot of different tracks. You got some aggressive club tracks with a touch of psytrance and then you got some slow tracks combined with a lot of strings and accompanied by distorted guitar. I will pick out three tracks that I really like a lot and write a little about them so you get the picture. The first track "Undead" is a pretty straight forward harsh EBM track and sounds really good apart from that the vocals could be a bit higher (a personal opinion of course), but still some people might disagree, but this is my review so who cares, right?. The second one is "Possession" which combines really good clean vocals with distorted scream and to top it all of you got a really catchy chorus with the guitar accompanying the lead melody. This is one of my favorite tracks of this album, but on the chorus the vocals disappear behind the guitar. Sadly, otherwise it sounds really good in the verse parts. The third choice is "Haunt Me" which is a really dark and aggressive track and not as melodic and nice as "Possession". Here you got a female choir which builds up the track and the guitar is back again, but this time it's part plays a much higher role and really drives the song forward. I like the guitar's placement in the tracks and the riff, but not really the sound of the guitar. It's hard to explain, might be the distortion or something but I would like another sound of it. Overall this is a really solid and good album. It's very different compared to a lot of bands out there in the same genre and I definitely think you should go out and buy this album. You got some really catchy tracks and there's something for everyone on this album. 450
