High Like The Angels EP Futurepop, Electro Alpha Point Moldavian Alpha Point is back with their second free digital download Maxi-CD from Synthematika. It's called 'High Like The Angels' and contains two new tracks as well as three remixes of the title track. Just like their first release 'Alive', we are given some futurepop inspired tunes with heavy guitar riffs in the title track "High Like The Angels". It's in the same style as "Alive", but with a much slower and calmer chorus than what we are used to. It's not often this happens, but in this case, one of the remixes are actually better than the original track. "Cuttin' Wings Mix by Personal Space" is actually my favourite version. I think the vocals and the music fits together much better and the melodies are great, especially the almost a solo part in the middle of the track. The other two remixes of "High Like The Angels" are one dance techno pop version called "Devildance by [systemshock]" and one instrumental version called "Relaxed Mix". The instrumental version is actually pretty nice and has a good flow to it. The B-side is called "God's Anger", it's not close to "High Like The Angels" in melody and setup, still, it's a heavy riffed tune that fits good to be a B-side. All and all, another good free release from Synthematik and Alpha Point, just not as good as their first release. With over 7000 downloads of their first single, I think it's worth your time to at least take a listen or two at this one as well. 350
