Industrial Metal Cult Carrion Announces Third Album "Evangelium Haeresis"
Industrial metal cult Carrion has announced that their third full-length album “Evangelium Haeresis” will be released by Brutal Resonance Records on November 26th, 2021. Considered to be their darkest work to date, the album was born from extreme introspection and a deep dive into the crooks and crevices of the human psyche. Carrion delivers eleven newborn psalms of self-destructive, psychotic despair. The album will be available in limited edition CD and digital formats. A bundle featuring their previous album “Testament Ov The Exiled [Revised Edition]” in cassette format, the new album in CD, and a patch will also be available. Speaking on the album, frontman Hide Tepes had this to say:
"Evangelium Haeresis” is our most harrowing work to date, demanding me to hold a magnifying glass to what one might refer to as my soul, highlighting each and every flaw, splinter, and festering wound therein.
Carrion is a Norwegian industrial rock band founded in 2014 by frontman and main composer Hide Tepes. Originally meant as a solo project to explore electronic and industrial soundscapes, Carrion evolved into a full band. The current line-up consists of Hide Tepes (vocals, composer), Joe Crow (bass, guitar), and Sam Dusk (synths, sound texture).
Carrion began off with a series of sporadic demos as they found their sound; the likes of EBM and dark ambient were experimented on in equal measure. The true Carrion sound, however, was defined in 2019’s debut album “Iconoclasm”. Hide took a liking to modular synthesizers not long after. This ultimately led him to utilizing those in his sophomore album, “Testament Ov The Exiled”.
2020 saw Carrion sign to Brutal Resonance Records, where their second album was given new life. Retitled to “Testament Ov The Exiled [Revised Edition]”, the album contained the brand new song ‘Dogs Ov Hell’ alongside additional remixes and alternate versions from the original album.
2021 has seen Carrion fiercely working on their third album, “Evangelium Haeresis”. It is the band’s darkest, most harrowing creation to date and further explores the influence of rock’n’roll blended with the unnerving sound of modular synthesis.
