Now streaming and available! Eva X turns Slighter's atmospheric title track off of "Welcome to Riot City" into a bass monster. Stream / purchase below!

With dark electronic music, at some point or another, you'll come to a crossroad with two signs. One that reads, "I like bass." and the other which reads, "I like BASS." Understandably so, producer Eva X AKA Gaby Gustafson falls under the latter category. The one where if, when played at max volume, your mirrors aren't shaking in your car when the song's playing, then it's not good enough. And she shows this on her remix of the titular track from Slighter's forthcoming EP on Brutal Resonance Records "Welcome to Riot City".

Speaking on the remix, Gustafson had this to say: "I really enjoyed the challenge of taking on an instrumental remix and creating a story and soundscape without words. Riot City immediately put me in a moody future megacity, and I had a great time leaning into the vibe with some cinematic instruments and ALL THE BASS."

Welcome to Riot City is out this Friday, July 29th and is available in digital and limited-edition cassette formats. T-shirts and signed copies are available!

I've been writing for Brutal Resonance since November of 2012 and now serve as the editor-in-chief. I love the dark electronic underground and usually have too much to listen to at once but I love it. I am also an editor at Aggressive Deprivation, a digital/physical magazine since March of 2016. I support the scene as much as I can from my humble laptop.
