Dark electronic duo Ex-Hyena have released their brand-new album “Moon Reflections Remixed” via Brutal Resonance Records. This is a companion to their 2022 album “Moon Reflections” and features sixteen brand-new remixes from a who’s who in the dark electronic scene, as well as three original Ex-Hyena songs perfect for your next space opera viewing. The ever funky and tremendously geeky Gothsicles (Brian Graupner), the harmonious synthpop beats of The Mystic Underground, the ambient sounds of SURVEY CHANNEL, and the heavy electronic beats of MADURO are but a taste of what you’ll hear on “Moon Reflections Remixed”. Available in both digital and limited-edition CD formats, you can stream / pre-order the album at the link below.

For me, this collection of remixes forms a compelling, alternate version of ‘Moon Reflections’ and I think those are the best remix albums. There are so many vibes covered on this thing as well. From the cold/chilling DJ Sawtooth remix of ‘While Curtains Burn’ to the EBM heavy Pleasure Policy remix of ‘Sight Unseen’ to the triptastic The Mystic Underground remix of ‘Dark Passage’ and so on. I think this thing forms it’s own album, and also might  bring people back to giving ‘Moon Reflections’ another listen or two. -Reuben Bettsak

Having someone remix one of your songs is a thrill and a real compliment. So you can imagine how exciting it was to have fifteen different artists whose work you love and  respect agree to this project.  It was like a gift waiting in our inbox every day or so.  Everyone brought their own style and personality to their remix and the results were always surprising. -Bo Barringer

Featuring: Brian L. Masiello, Cage, Gothsicles, The Fair Attempts, The Mystic Underground, Pleasure Policy, Control I’m Here, Sawtooth, R.M. Hendrix, BlakLight, Blood Handsome, Survey Channel, Jackson VanHorn, Maduro, Microwaved

I've been writing for Brutal Resonance since November of 2012 and now serve as the editor-in-chief. I love the dark electronic underground and usually have too much to listen to at once but I love it. I am also an editor at Aggressive Deprivation, a digital/physical magazine since March of 2016. I support the scene as much as I can from my humble laptop.
