Industrial metal project Ritual Aesthetic has announced that they're hard at work in the studio creating a follow up to 2018's "Wound Garden". Working with Chris Vrenna (NIN, Marilyn Manson) Ritual Aesthetic is aiming for a 2020 release for the new album. Project founder Sean Ragan has said this about the album:

All encompassing multimedia project that will serve as an expansion and evolution of our heavy side while revisiting and greatly ramping up our electronic driven roots. Thematically, this next entry will drill into the topics of parapsychology, alternate realities, mental illness and voyeurism in the age of the dark web. We will take these topics and weave them together with narrative thread that’s extracted from the standpoint of the oppressive organizations attached to these things.

Beyond production duties, Vrenna will also be stepping into the circle as a creative collaborator.  The album will also feature the addition and first time contributions of Vance Valenzuela, the founder of Colorado based blackened death metal outfit VALE OF PNATH.

Vrenna’s career quickly rose to prominence in the early '90s as a full-time member & studio engineer of NINE INCH NAILS, having been a permanent member of Trent Reznor's band since NINE INCH NAILS' inception and for the following eight years.  After departing from NIN, Vrenna would go on to perform in GNARLS BARKLEY as well as MARILYN MANSON.  His production and programming credits include the aforementioned NINE INCH NAILS & MARILYN MANSON, SMASHING PUMPKINS, GUNS N' ROSES and most recently working with CODE ORANGE & NICK RASKULINECZ.  Vrenna is also a sought after remixer, working on tracks by U2, RAMMSTEIN and SLIPKNOT.  Vrenna has and continues to release music under the moniker of TWEAKER as well as contributing the scores to video games such as QUAKE, DOOM 3, CALL OF DUTY: EXO ZOMBIES & most recently QUAKE: CHAMPIONS.

I've been writing for Brutal Resonance since November of 2012 and now serve as the editor-in-chief. I love the dark electronic underground and usually have too much to listen to at once but I love it. I am also an editor at Aggressive Deprivation, a digital/physical magazine since March of 2016. I support the scene as much as I can from my humble laptop.
