Donald Trump shocked the world when he won the 2016 presidential election, swiping it out from the hands of Hillary Clinton. Within days of being inaugurated the President of the United States signed off on multiple executive orders knocking down laws and other orders made by former president Barack Obama. While he has been criticized for what some would say his abuse of power, Donald Trump has just shook the world to its core by signing an executive order to outright ban industrial music in the United States.

"Industrial music is the bane of America. It might possibly be the worst music in the history of ever. I mean this bigly. Believe me. The United States will be made great again without Industrial. That's a fact," said Donald Trump in last night's press conference. The move was unprecedented and was made in secret on March 31, 2017.

While the international industrial scene is fighting this executive order with an online petition that has garnered a staggering two signatures, some old crusty scene dudes are praising Trump's actions. One in particular - who wished to remain anonymous - stated, "Man, industrial has been dead forever. Fuck that scene. It sucks. Except me. I'm the greatest. Check out my crowdfunding campaign. Thanks."

Although Brutal Resonance's headquarters is located in Sweden and the executive order will not effect coverage from over yonder, your beloved editor-in-chief is not and remains in the United States. I will no longer be able to cover industrial on this site, and will have to start covering such celebrating styles of music such as Vaporwave, horror rap, and J-pop. Stay tuned for all that exciting news and more.

I've been writing for Brutal Resonance since November of 2012 and now serve as the editor-in-chief. I love the dark electronic underground and usually have too much to listen to at once but I love it. I am also an editor at Aggressive Deprivation, a digital/physical magazine since March of 2016. I support the scene as much as I can from my humble laptop.
