Melbourne/Los Angeles based alternative dark pop musician DOCTRIN has released a video for her track "Give Me Love'. The singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist was shot by Dolly Denko herself, the mastermind behind DOCTRIN, and features themes of love and bondage.

"I wanted to combine body positive burlesque-inspired visuals with the song's message; that you just can't force love and you'll be OK on your own in the end. You shouldn't have to beg for love or pull out a bag of tricks. If it's not there, let it go. Find yourself and eat some cake! The video was incredibly fun to shoot, but that's easy for me to say because I'm not the one that was tied to a bed having hot wax poured over me!" -Dolly

This comes alongside the announcement that her debut EP "The Deep" will be releasing January 15th, 2016. The EP will contain five songs of stylistically dark pop well in the realm of Shirley Manson, Placebo, and Metric.

I've been writing for Brutal Resonance since November of 2012 and now serve as the editor-in-chief. I love the dark electronic underground and usually have too much to listen to at once but I love it. I am also an editor at Aggressive Deprivation, a digital/physical magazine since March of 2016. I support the scene as much as I can from my humble laptop.
