DOEXL is a new face in the industrial music field and she’s here to make a blistering statement if her brand-new EP “Corpus” is anything to go off of. Combining the gothic tinges of darkwave and the grittiness of industrial, DOEXL is carving her own path with a scythe made of synths. A triple threat, DOEXL self-releases her music on her own record label VOAXS whilst committing post-production under the same banner. In her own words, DOEXL is inspired by mythology and the enigmatic facets of life itself. She seeks to be an audio-visual juggernaut by bridging a gap between her music and visual identity. We can see a glimpse of that in the official music video for her single ‘Prey’ which can be viewed directly below.

“Corpus” is a five-track EP containing a fascinating look at slamming industrial percussion, gritty textures, a crunchy noise complex, all marinated in a darkwave umbrella. The result is something that is familiar yet uncomfortable; something that appears to be danceable yet has an undertone of animosity behind it. Each synth an ominous note; every clang a death toll. And you can stream it directly below:

I've been writing for Brutal Resonance since November of 2012 and now serve as the editor-in-chief. I love the dark electronic underground and usually have too much to listen to at once but I love it. I am also an editor at Aggressive Deprivation, a digital/physical magazine since March of 2016. I support the scene as much as I can from my humble laptop.
