Cryo Chamber launches sister label Cryo Crypt focusing on Dungeon Synth
There are few decisions that are made on this Earth with no consequence, one of those being that the owner / founder of dark ambient record label Cryo Chamber starting up a brand-new label Cryo Crypt focusing on dungeon synth and CRPG music. The two genres aren’t but two steps away from one another; whilst Cryo Chamber focuses on cinematic dark, sci-fi, space music, Cryo Crypt is diving into the forgotten and the forlorn. Where you explore dangerous ruins, haunted forests, and abandoned cities forgotten by time itself. Get your dice ready, roll a crit, and save the day…Or perish at the abominations lurking underneath.
Cryo Crypt launches with Mountain Realm, the new dungeon synth project of Atrium Carceri / Za Frûmi. The lore begins in the Mountain Realm, based off of Nordic Folk, retro CRPGs, and Swedish low fantasy roleplaying settings. Within the towering peaks lie the Northern Spine Mountains, and beneath those the Grayshadow Ruins. An ancient underground kingdom which sees no sun, no warmth, no light. Dark powers writhe in the shadows hosting legends of forgotten Kings. Discover them or die. This release is brought to you in both digital and cassette tape formats; the tape is a Hi-Fi Ferro Grade Pro-Duplication tape complete with a vintage finish. I've been writing for Brutal Resonance since November of 2012 and now serve as the editor-in-chief. I love the dark electronic underground and usually have too much to listen to at once but I love it. I am also an editor at Aggressive Deprivation, a digital/physical magazine since March of 2016. I support the scene as much as I can from my humble laptop.
