Attention all Bellheaders...Or Bellheads....Or whatever you want to call yourself. Chicago's growing post-punk duo Bellhead has announced two things: a new EP and a tour. Let's start off with the first, juicy bit because what's a tour without new music? Technically, a legacy tour, but Bellhead is young and ripe enough to keep producing. So, Bellhead has announced that their next six-track EP "Good Intentions" will be released on May 5th, 2023 in both digital and CD formats. Bellhead is continuing to master their craft as they continue to work with audio engineer Neil Strauch (Iron and Wine, Counting Crows, etc.), mastering engineer Carl Saff (Acid Mothers Temple, Red Fang, etc.), and management expert David Schock (WTII Records). Bellhead is giving a wink to pop on "Good Intention", nodding to the likes of New Order and Jesus and Mary Chain. The EP is following the wildly popular cover of Prince's 'I Would Die 4 U', which has gathered a cult-like following from underground DJs. As of right now, you can stream 'Valentine' below with pre-orders available.

Bellhead's touring prowess certainly isn't going anywhere, either. 2022 alone saw them tour side-by-side with the likes of Powerman 5000, Holy Wars, Then Comes Silence, The Bellwether Syndicate, Hate Dept, China Crisis, and Night Club. 2023 is no different as the band has been playing dates as early as March. Two of those shows were with Clan of Xymox and The Bellwether Syndicate. They're continuing their run all the way until the end of May, with their final performance colliding with Night Club. You can check out all the dates below.

I've been writing for Brutal Resonance since November of 2012 and now serve as the editor-in-chief. I love the dark electronic underground and usually have too much to listen to at once but I love it. I am also an editor at Aggressive Deprivation, a digital/physical magazine since March of 2016. I support the scene as much as I can from my humble laptop.
