ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: Bestial Mouths - 'OUR SOULS TAKE'
The wonderful and ever-creative Lynette Cerezo has released a music video for their song 'OUR SOULS TAKE'. The song comes off of Bestial Mouths' current album "RESURRECTEDINBLACK", which released on July 5th, 2020. This also coincides with the announcement of a brand new remix album "THOUSANDNEEDLES", which will be released in mid-2021. Dan Milligan (The Joy Thieves) and Scott-David Allen (A Covenant of Thorns) have joined forces to create a brand new project titled The Burying Kind. Henrik Sunbring, founder of the project, stated that, "The sound of oplen arises from a combination of analog synthesized rhythms, field recordings, p(r)ocessed guitars and moog melodies. Leave it up to Brian Graupner and his gang of collaborators to create an album dedicated to nothing but his favorite animals on the planet. Scars Are Soulless - "Vendetta"
Wow. This is an album that I originally reviewed back in 2012. That was during the embarassing, learning-how-to-write phase when I was nineteen years old. And, facing the facts, the way I wrote that review makes me sad and depressed. Anyway, the album is being given another chance at life through Insane Records who have released the album in both CD and digital formats. I recommend the song 'Fuck Your God'. Despite it's edgy name, the song is relatively worth your while. Check it out:
Pro Patria - "Godless"
You know what's a really nice image to digest in the morning? A hand sticking up in the air holding a scalpel with blood covering both the limb and the surgical device. This is exactly what we see on the cover of Pro Patria's latest album "Godless", out now via Insane Records. Post-punk project Bellhead have announced that their next EP 'Remix With Guns" will be out on March 5th, 2021. This is a cover of the Bob Dylan classic and Chris Pohl stated this about the cover: Even though a thousand other bands have already covered the song, I deliberately did it anyway! 'Forever Young' was already the anthem of my youth! I heard the song in hard times when I had great concern for my parents...Until today, the song accompanies me, because even today, when I live almost half a century on this earth, I don't want to grow older and I'm even afraid of it. The last time we posted about Kiberspassk, it was for a dark ambient, noise, and generally creepy song / music video titled 'Liho'. This time, we're looking at industrial dance music, flashing lights, what I can only describe as Goblin-like vocals, and awesome costumes. It's just something that you need to experience for yourself. Vocalist Baba Yaga stated about the song, "Kikimors also live in cursed or abandoned houses. Forest or swamp kikimora - a girl covered with herbs and moss or an ugly old woman who frightens and knocks people off the road and kidnaps children." Clicks - "G.O.T.H."
Helmed by Wojciech Król aka “Kr-Lik”, Clicks began as a side-project of Controlled Collapse in 2007. The band humorously titled their debut album "All The Songs That Were Supposed To Be On An Album But No Label Was Interested And Then I Thought About Releasing Only Singles But I Got Pissed Off And Decided To Release It Like This. Enjoy." After their 2016 album "Glitch Machine" released in 2021, Kr-Lik has returned with "G.O.T.H." which stands for "Getting Old, Tired, and...". While the H is left out, I am going to presume it stands for HOT. The album serves as a "respectful examination of this former youth culture, which has been ageing noticeably for several decades."
