Korine - "Corsage"
The phenomenal synthpop and new wave duo Korine has recently let loose their album "The Night We Raise". It has come under the attention of fans and critics alike with many physical editions of the album selling out quickly. But Korine is a band with a gift that keeps on giving as they have just released a brand new EP titled "Corsage". Containing five songs and released in both digital and limited edition cassette (five remaining at the time of this writing), you can check it out directly below:

Fall Shock - "Interior"

A week later the project, under record label Manic Depression Records, has released their full length album "Interior". The album is available in both CD and digital formats. It can be purchased / streamed directly below:

Witch house / Industrial project :Waijdan: has released their new album "Descend" via Bandcamp and other streaming services. Balloon Boy - "Balloon Boy"
Balloon Boy is a two-person project featuring Smiler members Nannen Gathcell and Kelby Clark (Clark is also of Divorce Ring and Material Body). Their project takes an old-school analog method for capture, choosing to record their music straight to tape. Their self-titled, debut EP will contain five original songs as well as an extended dub version of 'Collective Conscious'. The EP will be released on October 2nd, 2020 in both digital and limited edition cassette formats. Pre-orders are available here:

Nightcrawler - "Enfer"
Though the magnificent horror infused electronic producer Nightcrawler just released his album "Lucide Dreams" in August, his creative kick has not come to an end. Partnering with vocalist Celine, Nightcrawler has released a new EP titled "Enfer". The EP comes with the title track, a remix of it, and an instrumental version of the song. Check it out:

Automatic - 'Suicide in Texas (Panther Modern Remix)'
An affluent mix of noise pop, post-punk, and synthetic sounds can be used to describe the sound of Automatic's music. Their debut album "Signal" released in September of 2019, but that has not stopped the trio from supporting the album with remixes. A new remix of 'Suicide in Texas' has dropped courtesy of Panther Modern. You can purchase / stream it directly below:

Snakes of Russia - "Carried To California In A Swarm Of Bees"
Released via Errorgrid Records, this three track EP comes from electronic producer Snakes of Russia. Taking inspiration from the big beats of hip-hop as well as the ominous textures found within dark ambient and drone styles, you can check out the EP for yourself directly below:

Trauma Phase - "Human-Caused Disaster Response"
A relatively new face to the modern EBM / newbeat movement (or at least as far as I could tell due to their only other release on Bandcamp being "The Origin Of Social Disabilities"), Trauma Phase has a new six track EP out titled "Human-Caused Disaster Response". The EP has been released digitally via Trauma Phase's personal Bandcamp (stream / purchase below) with the cassette version available via Detriti Records

DEAD LIGHTS - "Death Pop"
Though I wonder if this androgynous project took their name from Stephen King's novel It and the mythology that revolves around the infamous cosmic being, that is not what is to be discussed today. Today we are reveling in the release of DEAD LIGHTS' debut EP "Death Pop". Taking darkwave and dance music and combining it into one, you get an EP that'll get the goths from out of their darkened corners and onto a dimly lit dancefloor. Check it out:

TAPHEPHOBIA - "Blue Hour"
TAPHEPHOBIA has returned to Cyclic Law with their eighth album "Blue Hour", which has been described as a "dreamlike experience based upon personal emotional states and reflections of both the immediate environment and far reaching 'outer world'." The album contains eight meditations in total and can be purchase in both digital and limited edition CD formats. Check it out:

Offermose - "Stilhedens Tårn"
Though we have covered this album previously in our twenty-sixth edition of this very same feature, that does not mean there isn't more to discover from this dungeon synth producer. Offermose has just released the third single and title track off of their upcoming album "Stilhedens Tårn". The album is still available in limited edition LP and CD formats, with the digital version to remain forever. Check it out:

SHADOWORLD - 'Empty Rooms'
Record label White Room has released a new single from SHADOWORLD, which is Roberto Del Vecchio (Gothica, The Last Hour, Les Jumeaux Discordants) and Old Boy (Claudio Carluccio). The single contains the dark ambient / darkwave lead single as well as an acoustic version of it. You can stream / purchase the single below:

Metakross - "Limbo"
Industrial / dark electro project Metakross has released their debut album "Limbo". The producer describes the album as "full of dark aesthetics, hard percussion and pulses with chaotic energy." You can stream / purchase the album below:

Black Market Heart - 'Anything'
Post-punk / noise outfit Black Market Heart has released a new single titled 'Anything'. Lots of genre stipulations are explored in the single such as a lofi approach, low-pitched vocals, and a bit of a depressing yet angry atmosphere. Check it out:

Manikineter - "Copper Fields"
Industrial hip-hop / noisehop outfit Manikineter has released their new album titled "Copper Fields". The fourteen track album has been released in both digital and cassette formats. However, you must be willing to pay a serious premium for the digital version (priced at €666 EUR). Jokes aside, that's probably up just so supporting audience members grab the cassette version instead which is a humble €8 EUR. Check it out:

Zoltan Coxis / Mono Canibal - "Chronophagus"
Producers Zoltan Coxis and Mono Canibal have teamed up to release a split CD titled "Chronophagus". Focusing on experimental, dark ambient, and drone atmospheres, the eleven track album should have something for fans of the genres. Check it out:

Kota Kira - "Moon Dancer"
While not fronting the black metal band Dekira, Kota Kira is performing under her solo, occult dance music name. Combining elements of witch house, industrial, and dancefloor vibes into one seamless package, Kota Kira has just released her new single 'Moon Dancer' via Re:Mission Entertainment. With a slight horror vibe given off from the song, this is the perfect song for the upcoming spooky season. Check it out:

HEALTH - 'CYBERPUNK 2.0.2.0.'
Like so many other contemporary musicians, artists, and, well, general populations of Earth, HEALTH has noticed that things are not going quite too well in the year 2020. Possibly as a way to vent their frustrations as horrific events rage throughout the year, HEALTH has released a brand new single titled 'CYBERPUNK 2.0.2.0.' which is paired with a visually striking music video. The single comes off of their album "DISCO04 :: PART I" which is due out on October 16th, 2020. Check it out:

DARK - 'Nightmare'
Darkwave project DARK has just released their new single / video 'Nightmare'. The song is about "being trapped in a dysfunctional relationship. No matter where you go, nor the changes you commit to yourself, some relationships can't work." You can grab the song HERE and you can stream the video below:

Special thanks to Victor Montes of Songs From Under the Floorboard for helping us curate this list once again. You do not have to be in a band to submit material to us; if you like an artist that you haven't seen covered on Brutal in the past, please shoot us an e-mail with links to their music and we will see what we can do to feature them. Cheers!

I've been writing for Brutal Resonance since November of 2012 and now serve as the editor-in-chief. I love the dark electronic underground and usually have too much to listen to at once but I love it. I am also an editor at Aggressive Deprivation, a digital/physical magazine since March of 2016. I support the scene as much as I can from my humble laptop.
