Victorian Witch - "Eerie Tales"
This release comes from the same mind behind the 90s dungeon synth project Sagenhaft though instead of focusing on that genre the theme has shifted moreso to dark ambiance. However, mythical and fantastic elements still provide an insight to the Sagenhaft influence on the album itself. The six track debut from Victorian Witch comes courtesy of record label Pacific Threnodies; "Eerie Tales" will be released in both digital and limited edition (to 100 copies) CD formats. The CD version will also come with two exclusive bonus tracks so, if you want a version of the album, I suggest going with the physical. Check it out:

This time around they're calling upon the dark bass influences of Moris Blak to remix their song 'Sanctuary'. Though Blu's musical output can be described as pop music, Moris Blak's defining characteristics turn it into a bit of an industrial dance hit. You can purchase / stream the single below:

MARY - "Die Before Death"
I don't know about you, but the title of this album has abstract goth written all over it. Anyway, this Toronto, Ontario based post-punk project has announced that their new album "Die Before Death" will be released on September 4th, 2020 in both digital and CD formats. Two tracks, 'Frantic' and 'Devouring Me', are currently available for streaming. "Die Before Death" can be pre-ordered below:

Biomechanimal - "Enter The Animal"
Alright, let's just talk about how awesome that cover art is before anything. A kaiju Xenomorph? That's nightmare fuel...But also something that I would love to see explored in a spinoff Alien series or short story. Anyway, Biomechanimal is back with this new EP featuring one of their hit songs; favored on the dancefloor by both the band and fans alike, the single comes with two remixes from Sirus and C-Lekktor. You can stream / purchase the EP directly below:

Hexadiode - "Metaxy (Instrumental)"
Hexadiode's 2019 album "Metaxy" was a glorious industrial powered thrill ride when it launched and manages to thwart my playlist from time to time. But, if you're one of those people who prefer for musicians to shut the fuck up as their vocals are just ruining a glorious beat, well than this release is for you! An instrumental version of that 2019 album has just been put up by the band on Bandcamp and you can stream / purchase the digital album below:

Evaporated Sores - "Ulcerous Dimensions"
Sentient Ruin Laboratories is back with another release under their extreme underground roster, Evaporated Sores' "UIcerous Dimensions". The seven track album is a combination of noise, doom, industrial, and death metal combined into one hell of a sinister package. This is the debut album from the project and, so far, fan response has been positive. The album will be released in a limited edition 12" colored vinyl, a standard 12" Vinyl, cassette tape, and digital formats. Check it out:

Live For You - "Sometimes It Feels Like Chains"
The second EP from 80s inspired electronic act Live For You is one that is brilliant but also bittersweet. Wrapped up in EBM, industrial, and darkwave sounds that were popular in Britain, the album is also a tribute to former band member Eddie who has unfortunately passed away. "These songs are very much Eddie and my ideas, intertwined with one another. He was pivotal in helping me write lyrics when I was stuck and able to coax raw vulnerable emotion out of me. It was freeing, saying what I wanted - thrashing around our bedroom," stated Caitlin Rae, one-half of the project. The EP can be streamed / purchased below:

Camerasocura vs Lilith Le Morte - "OM"
This little number is presented by dark ambient and experimental projects Camerasocura and Lilith Le Morte. Featuring two track, one titled 'OM' and the other an extended version of that song, the double will be released in limited edition, 7" transparent vinyl format. You can purchase / stream the vinyl directly below:

Artium Carceri - "Mortal Shell"
The soundtrack from the upcoming Souls-like video game Mortal Shell was composed by none other than Cryo Chamber's very own Atrium Carceri. You can stream / purchase the album in both digital and CD formats.

Collaborations on the album include Laktik & Agua Viva as well as Helen Gonçalves. You can purchase / stream the album directly below:

Transmission - "Cosmos"
Sandrine Deville has dived into the solo world of production via an oddball method: she's made her own violin using 3D printed technology. Basing the design of the violin off of the cover art to Joy Division's "Unknown Pleasure", the design is unique. Her coldwave, post-punk, and darker synthpop debut album "Cosmos" is set to release on October 12th, 2020 in both digital and limited edition CD formats. Three songs are currently available for streaming including 'De Stijl', 'Cosmos', and 'Cloud 9'. Check it out:

I've been writing for Brutal Resonance since November of 2012 and now serve as the editor-in-chief. I love the dark electronic underground and usually have too much to listen to at once but I love it. I am also an editor at Aggressive Deprivation, a digital/physical magazine since March of 2016. I support the scene as much as I can from my humble laptop.
