Brutal Resonance has been active since April of 2009. Since then we have gained a larger audience that we have ever expected and have been given unexpected praise throughout the scene. All of us at Brutal are humbled by this experience and words cannot explain how grateful we are for all the bands, musicians, and readers that have been supporting us throughout the years.

With a growing audience comes more submissions to our blog, and throughout the past year and a half we have had trouble covering even a quarter of everything that gets submitted to us. This is exactly why I have started this fundraiser - I would like to eventually run Brutal Resonance as a full time job.

Doing so would allow me to cover most and, if not, all the submissions we get on a daily basis. It is never difficult to do so, but it is time consuming and with my current full time job I am finding it more and more difficult to keep up with all the submissions. The musicians and bands that submit their material to us deserve the recognition and spotlight they deserve for all their hard work, and this is one way we can help them get the attention they need.

If we are able to get enough backers, I could easily step down to a part time job and in the future (hopefully) quit my job completely and run Brutal Resonance full time as that is my dream as of right now.

FAIR AND HONEST

This has been mentioned above, but I will repeat myself again. Brutal Resonance has always been fair and honest and Patreon will not change the way we write or do things. We will continue the same business model we have perfected throughout the years. We will appreciate any support coming from record labels, musicians, and bands on this platform, but we do not guarantee positive reviews. We guarantee FAIR AND HONEST reviews which gives out as much constructive criticism as we do praise.

PLEASE CONTRIBUTE

To make this dream a reality, please contribute. Even at a dollar a month you're helping us achieve our goal and will be entered into a monthly raffle to win some goodies. We will be adding perks as we go along to see what the audience would like, some for bands, some for fans.

So please take a moment to think about what Brutal Resonance means to you and the industrial and dark electronic community you adore. Then contribute anything that you can afford! The smallest donation will do wonders!

Thank you for your continuing support and we hope you enjoy everything that Brutal Resonance dishes out over the coming years! Cheers!

I've been writing for Brutal Resonance since November of 2012 and now serve as the editor-in-chief. I love the dark electronic underground and usually have too much to listen to at once but I love it. I am also an editor at Aggressive Deprivation, a digital/physical magazine since March of 2016. I support the scene as much as I can from my humble laptop.
