Growing up, Dan Cadera fell in love with the industrial and goth scenes of the 90s. So much so that his album under his solo name Slashdance, "Everything Goes With Black", has been described as "a love letter to the Goth and Industrial rock of the 80s and 90s" by Cadera himself. Amassing a collection of vintage synths and gears that connected him to his favorite bands, Cadera wrote, performed, recorded, and produced the album all by himself. The DIY nature of the album kicks in with the experimental nature of the industrial scene as a whole. With that being said, Slashdance has put out a music video for the title track of their album and we have the pleasure of showing it to the world. Watch below:

Kicks into high gear with a relentless Industrial Rock beat straight from the early ’90s. An ode to our favourite colour and a love letter to Ministry.  The authentic sound of the era was recreated using period-specific samplers and vintage digital guitar effects.  Most of the video was shot across Japan just before the pandemic, as well as at our studio.  The video, much like the album was edited by myself.

Slashdance's "Everything Goes With Black" can be streamed / purchased on Bandcamp. You can also order the vinyl version of the album via Anicent Temple Recordings.

I've been writing for Brutal Resonance since November of 2012 and now serve as the editor-in-chief. I love the dark electronic underground and usually have too much to listen to at once but I love it. I am also an editor at Aggressive Deprivation, a digital/physical magazine since March of 2016. I support the scene as much as I can from my humble laptop.
