Today I'll bring you one band who in the space of a single, debut album, managed to find the perfect balance between the danceability of modern EBM and the raw aggression of death metal, delivering club tunes to dance the night off and songs to listen at home when you are in a mood for total war. As some of you might have guessed already, I'm talking about NITRONOISE, straight at #13 with their 'Total Nihilism'.

After impressing the crowds at the latest Kinetik Festival, the band lost no time and rushed to the studio to unleash this bomb, and we can assess that the damage caused by the sonic assault has been devastating - and yes, that's a good thing.

Trading all the fake "evil" attitude of far too many acts plaguing the dancefloor these days for pure, hard-hitting beats and riffs - and most of the times, you will never realise there are guitars in the mix, so good they blend with the rest, managing to avoid turning Nitronoise in "yet another industrial metal band") - this album gives you a hit after another.

We'll see if they'll be able to repeat the feat with their upcoming release, but for now we'll celebrate them as one of the best and most promising newcomers of this year.

Suggested listening: "Killed Fuelled Machine", "Built For War", "No-One Shall Return", "Drowning".
