From what I've seen from the likes of Brutal Resonance, almost every visitor that we have on this site is a huge horror fan and easily embraces the genre with open arms. It's odd to find people absolutely engorged with murders on film while in real life they would most likely shit their pants. It's funny and ironic, but that's not what has me drawing you here today.
No, today I am proud to present a pre-release stream of Konnartist's debut album World Mother: Seed Me Novel Score. It's a ten track, conceptual album that contains dark ambient, witch house, and downtempo music alongside original pieces done by guest musicians Apollyon's Visage, Sean Lacroix, and Voice Industrie. The album, as the title suggests, is a companion piece to his upcoming horror novel, Seed Me, which will be available August 17th. However, enough of my jibbering. "I’ve been fascinated with transmedia storytelling and wanted to create an immersive experience for my horror novel Seed Me through additional imagery and audio. Industrial music has been an interest of mine for as long as I can remember. When creating my own, I could never settle on a direction or style. While writing the book Seed Me, I listened to a lot of Witch House, Dark Ambient and PsyChill, so I thought the audio portion of the story should reflect what inspired the writing."

Konn Lavery is Konnartist. The man is based in Edmonton, a city in Alberta, Canada. He is a musician and horror writer who has been involved in his local music scene for quite some time. His idea of the perfect type of music is one that transcends boundaries between one media and the next; in this case, it's music and writing. He wrote out this album to introduce the listener to new music genres and tastes as well as give them a concept album based upon his upcoming novel.
World Mother: Seed Me Novel Score is due out on July 2nd on Amazon and Bandcamp, so be sure to keep your eyes adamant regarding that.
