EXCLUSIVE PREMIERE: MURDERERS unite synthwave and post-punk in their brand new video 'Save Yourself'

What do you get when you cross post-punk, synthwave, and the eighties aesthetic that both genres take from? Well, you get MURDERERS, the hybrid project from musician Luke Thompson. Signed to analoguetrash towards the end of 2020, the project released their debut single 'Sleep' around the same time as a tease for their forthcoming EP "Tape One". Much-awaited by audiences of MURDERERS, sadly they will have to wait for the EP for a bit longer...But (and there's always a but), MURDERERS is a project that keeps on giving. That's why we are proud to present to you the premiere of their latest single and music video 'Save Yourself'. Let the slow ballad move you below:


Luke Thompson stated about 'Save Yourself' that he's "always loved songs that sound uplifting but on further listens reveal themselves to be about something darker. Save Yourself is about delusion, and the lie of total self-reliance which can encourage it. The Miami Vice era of 80s excess and superficiality provides both an apt aesthetic and a cultural mirror for the underlying brokenness the lyrics hide."
