Dystopian dance duo Ex-Hyena have been splashing their outlandish dark disco beats and modern electronic rhythms more than ever before. Releasing single after single, alongside a few remixes here and there, this Boston duo has proved that they're here to stay - and that their sound design isn't becoming any less alien. Along their journey they've found themselves to be audiovisual auteurs. Two years ago they released their debut music video and two years later they're releasing their tenth. And you can stream it directly below.

The song 'At the Moondial (Radio Edit)' was released on the 'At the Moondial (b/w The Gothsicles remix)' which was launched on October 14th.  The music video was directed by Reuben Bettsak, and stars Irina, and Cyan (who both also appeared in the 'Nightmare Pills' music video). The music video is an Alice In Wonderland meets David Lynch Ex-Hyena style Psychedelic horror oddyssey. Both characters are bound in some sort of institute and are able to meet up in a dream state. Two questions remain: Are they friends or foes? And can they escape?

'At The Moondial' is the opening track on the new LP 'Moon Reflections' (Brutal Resonance) for Boston electronic music sculptors Ex-Hyena. The new single release of ‘At the Moondial’ features a shorter radio edit version of the song and a pounding EDM remix of the song from another Boston industrial electro native The Gothsicles. Additionally, The Gothsicles remix of ‘At The Moondial’ will be part of the upcoming release "Moon Reflections Remixed" expected in early 2023 via Brutal Resonance. It includes 15 remixes from bands like BlakLight, Contol I'm Here, Pleasure Policy, The Fair Attempts, Blood Handsome Mark Cage, and more. ‘Moon Reflections Remixed '' will also feature three unreleased tracks.

I've been writing for Brutal Resonance since November of 2012 and now serve as the editor-in-chief. I love the dark electronic underground and usually have too much to listen to at once but I love it. I am also an editor at Aggressive Deprivation, a digital/physical magazine since March of 2016. I support the scene as much as I can from my humble laptop.
