Both Carisa Bianca Mellado and Andrew Dalziell are no strangers to Goth, Post-Punk, and Darkwave music; they've performed and worked with the likes of David J (Bauhaus), White Magic, Rikk Agnew (Christian Death), and are members of the experimental doom band Asva. They've also released one EP "Achelous + Melpomene", and two single 'The Flood' and 'Crawl'. Finally, to finish things off, the duo has performed in the UK, composed music for short films and plays and toured Australia and Europe. The accolades they have received for their unique blend of droning guitars, beautiful ambiance, and duel vocals has been nothing short of exquisite. In short, Night Tongue is a project to look out for as they will one day be everywhere.

It is for all these reasons and more that we at Brutal Resonance are proud to premiere Night Tongue's latest single / music video titled 'Drift'. Coming off of their upcoming full length album "The Stag King" due out this fall, the duo has described 'Drift' as "a song about love fundamentally and the search for the eternal space of it, through all seasons, life and beyond death."

Night Tongue has also gone into further detail about their upcoming album, echoing thoughts regarding 'Drift'. They stated, "The cycles of nature are represented through the Triple Moon Goddess of life, death and rebirth and the Stag God as he crosses the seasons of birth, fertility, death and renewal. This is heard as lovers meet, connect, devour, lose, go through the dark and are reborn on a higher level. This album is about love fundamentally, but it really is about searching for the eternal space of that, through all seasons, life and beyond death."

I've been writing for Brutal Resonance since November of 2012 and now serve as the editor-in-chief. I love the dark electronic underground and usually have too much to listen to at once but I love it. I am also an editor at Aggressive Deprivation, a digital/physical magazine since March of 2016. I support the scene as much as I can from my humble laptop.
