PATRIK'S SCORE

good

French electro punk duo Malakwa just got signed by Alfa-Matrix and here they are now with their brand new album ’Street Preacher’. The music and attitude is a headbutt in the forehead, a spit in the face, a sucker punch in the balls. It’s up in your face and it won’t leave you alone… and it’s pretty good as well.

If my description was not enough for you, this is all about electro with a punk’ish attitude. If you think about Atari Teenage Riot, you are not too way off track. From start to finish it’s straight ahead without any pauses. Don’t expect any cosy ballads on this one. Once you hit the play button, it’s a one way LSD trip to hell and “Go to jail, go directly to jail. Do not pass go”.

Even though I think that in the end of this 10 track album, it gets a bit repetitive, you are surely in for a treat anyway with tracks like “Make Up Your Rules”, “Monster” and “Streetblast”.

Surely worth checking out if you are into the more energetic and dirty styles of electro.
