After many years on Synthetic Sounds, Canadian Left Spine Down (LSD) find themselves on the major company Metropolis Records with their third album ‘Caution’. With Front Line Assembly member Jeremy Inkel as a part of this band, they deliver what they call Cyberpunk, a mix of several different styles like punk, electro and metal.

If you are looking for something that sounds like Front Line Assembly, you are bound to be disappointed, what you do find is electro rock that reminds me of bands like Zeromancer and also the badly underestimated Orgy from the end of the 90’s, but with a playful touch of Punk influences to it.

With the 8 tracks of this album (excluding the intro and the 32min(!) outro), you are in for a fast paced ride from the start to the end. Part from the slower “On The Other Side”, it’s the pedal to the metal without stopping for any red lights. In the company “On The Other Side” is in, it feels like a good break from the high tempo with such a beautiful tune.

But ‘Caution’ is for the most part about energy and there’s much sweet to find and not so much sour. “The Truth is a Lie”, “X-Ray” (that also became the video single), “Hit and Run”, “Stolen Car”, “From Thirty To Zero” and “Overdriven” are all great tracks that will turn a quiet gathering of friends into an orgy of whisky and waving knuckles. Just don’t do any air guitar playing, or I’ll have to slap you.

Go buy this album and go out and give a few swings yourself!
