The Fugitve Synthwave, Cyberpunk Xetrovoid The Fugitive by XetrovoidThink Bladerunner. Think cyberpunk. Think Japanese sci-fi anime. Think running from the robots in an 80's movie. Then think of the music that would be in those. Think Jean Michel Jarre. Giorgio Moroder. Movie themes and chase sequence music. Now think Xetrovoid.José Mora-Jiménez is a Costa Rican born composer. Not just the synth tracks on The Fugitve, but game sound tracks and concert music. Serious stuff. Not to say this work isn't serious however. The Fugitive is a four track EP released in October 2016 and runs at just over the 14 minute mark. All four tracks are highly produced and atmospheric with sweeping synth lines, clean percussion and brittle melodies. All tracks take you back to the time when synths were first used by solo artists to score films and other visual media. The Fugitive is remarkably entertaining in its way. However that "way" is a throwback to those times and while slick and smooth, may not be high on your playlist rotation. While it doesn't have the depth and fullness of a Moroder or Jarre, It is for when you are getting ready to revisit the cyberpunk movies and shows that were (of the time) groundbreaking. This EP is the fifth release for Xetrovoid in this style. His home page has samples of his more "serious" work and is an interesting audio adventure of the ability to adapt to style and technique. Its fun, its all synth its all about running from the cyborg army and hiding in the underground clubs and dark streets. Its all about The Fugitive! 450

I've been DJing for 30+ years and been lucky to have done Dj support for Assemblage 23, Grendel, Nachtmahr, Shiv-r, Psyche, Icon Of Coil, among others. As Digital Anodyne I've written and remixed, Retrogramme, Leaether Strip, Rational Youth, Psyche, Pluvio, Arkyus and so forth. I'm a music fan of electronic music with a thirst to hear new music as often as possible. Writing for Brutal Resonance for the last 5 years gives me the opportunity to share that passion. music//DJ\\remix
