Only Better Synthpop, Pop Mesh Well, this could easily be summed up by telling you guys that it's the same old Mesh and as always, that's a good thing to be, but I think you need a bit more input about the new single called 'Only Better'. As I wrote before, you have the typical Mesh pop song that has great flow and rhythm, Mark's voice is top notch and as always you can't get it out of your head, the song and your mind in perfect symbiosis. The first version is called "Gritty" and it's probably going to convert to "Single Version" later on, it has a more poppy sound that are perfect for radio. The second version is the club version and it seems a bit down scaled in sounds and probably fits the electro underground scene a bit better. You also get the "Alien6" version of the song and its best described as a poppier electro version (possibly even poppier than the "Gritty" edit), but it sometimes feels like they have forced in Marks song so it fits the melody. The B-side of the single is "Shattered Glass" and in my opinion it's a great B-side. It's very different from the cover track, slower, heavier and less fluffy clouds, I think it's a great mixture between two sides of the same coin. The last track on the single is a "KLOQ Remix" of "Everything I Made" that is previously unreleased as well, so I guess it's the? C-track? However, it's a good track with rock attitude, but it's probably the weakest link of this single, but that doesn?t say much, since it's still well worth your time. To me, Mesh have a history of high standard and great productions, 'Only Better' is following the known path. 450
