Massive New Witch House Compilation via nigh† †errors "BABALON RISING" Now Available Witch house is a scene that holds a special place in my heart as I absolutely love and adore the occult aesthetics and horror-inspired imagery but it is also one whose peak of popularity came and went thanks to the vast amount of stoner-bedroom producers who saturated the genre and put tarnish to its very name. While bands such as ∆AIMON, Salem, and even Mater Suspiria Vision have all managed to maintain a unique presence among themselves and have captivated audiences for quite some time, most of the newer acts I have come across sound too similar or sound as if they took a shit on their synths and electronic drum kits and have no ear for music in the first place. However, there are the independent champions of the wicked who still believe in the movement so much that they put together a massive sixty-five track witch house compilation called BABALON RISING. Those named champions are N¡gh†m∆res ∆nd 8Ø8s and Untitled Burial who put together this gigantic compilation and released it just yesterday via the nigh† †errors record label in time for all things related to our favorite holiday of Halloween. You will be impressed to find that most of these artists avoid witch house tropes and have a solid grasp of what good drag should sound like. You can stream the entire compilation directly below and head HERE to download it for yourself. Two tracks that are a must check out are (((O)))'s clear and concise dragging 'Цветы Зла' as well as MONOMOR✞E's fantastic addition 'F̵̢̡I̶͟N͘͞IT҉́E (feat. Moi Saint)'. Those two stood out as the best tracks on the compilation. For more information on each of the bands featured on this compilation, simply click on the link to the individual track on Bandcamp and you will be led to a page where their Soundcloud link is located.

I've been writing for Brutal Resonance since November of 2012 and now serve as the editor-in-chief. I love the dark electronic underground and usually have too much to listen to at once but I love it. I am also an editor at Aggressive Deprivation, a digital/physical magazine since March of 2016. I support the scene as much as I can from my humble laptop.
