Nightglory Electro, Darkwave Kirlian Camera There is a lot of feeling in Kirlian Cameras music in general and especially in their latest album 'Nightglory'. Well written music which pends between up tempo and driven to sometimes sounding symphonic and close to sacral. The music is written by Angelo Bergamini, performed by obviously skillfull musicians, and is crowned with the strong and full bodied voice of Elena Alice Fossi. Elena's voice sets the final touch of feelings to this fantastic music. It gives a sensation of power and desperation, all in one. The title track, "Nightglory", is one of Kirlian Cameras finest. It's one of the up tempo pieces of this album. The chorus feels like a kick right to the heart as it starts with "I'm surrounded by the stars, many flowers on the walls". If I should mention something negative with this album it is probably Kirlian Cameras fascination with sometimes quite annoying sounds. This however occurs somewhat less on this album. I also wish to make a remark on the cover of "Hymn", originaly performed by Ultravox. Even if Elena's voice could cast magic to almost any song, this cover never really takes off and lacks the drive and tempo of the original (and a big part of what makes the original a fantastic piece of music). As a bonus: The video to Nightglory. Very of low sound unfortunately, but I hope you'll enjoy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=is5WQ7D0nV8 550
