Arena EBM, Electro Informatik Informatik have created almost a tradition to first release a full-length album and then a remix EP in between. Now the time has come for the remix EP called 'Arena' which features five new tracks (where two of them are instrumental) and a bunch of remixes, mostly from their latest album 'Nymphomatik' which was released last year. The first track called "Come Together" is probably the best track of the new ones with its rocky sound. I have to admit I'm not that fond of it, but considering the other new tracks, it's still the best one. How about the remixes then? Well, some of them are pretty good and most of them are decent enough. "The World Belongs To Us", that was released on the last remix EP 'Revision', is one of my favourite tracks with Informatik and that one gets utterly destroyed in this live version released on this new EP. Most of the ones from 'Nymphomatik' are alright, but they are all still easily overpowered by the original ones and almost every time I switch from this EP back to their latest release instead. If you want to invest some of your money in an Informatik release, I suggest you put your money on 'Nymphomatik' which is truly a superb album; this EP is not nearly as good. 350
