CAS9D Futurepop, Electrorock Chaos All Stars / Ninedee Few records has left me so puzzled as 'CAS9D' does. Chaos All Stars teams up with Ninedee and releases 'CAS9D' wich comes as a 6 track split vinyl or electronic release for those who like the good old vinyl drive. The album is as hard to define in a genre as it is to put words on ones opinion about it. I'm usually a person who can go through the intros of the songs on an album and know know what I'm going to think of it with 95% certainty. This, however, is not the case with 'CAS9D'. Do I hate it? No, absolutely not. Do I love it then? No! I would describe listening to 'CAS9D' as riding an insane rollercoaster. Some parts are so perfect and fantastic that you would like to isolate them and have an entire track consisting of those parts only. Other pieces are so disharmonious that the only thing that comes to mind is "WTF were they thinking when they wrote this"? What I personaly find most annoying with this album will probably get my teeth kicked in by the heavy metal fans out there because I really can't stand the growling on the track "Contract (feat Kya Wolfwritten)". It really goes to my nerves! If I should try to sum this up in some way we have an album that is through and through wierd. As this is the first time I listen to Chaos All Stars, and I've never heard of Ninedee bfore this, I'm not sure what to think. I am however sure that almost everyone will find their favourite parts on this album as well as their "What were they thinking"-parts. This is not really my cup of tea but because of it's versatility I rate this album a bit higher than average. Enjoy! 350
