MINIVIEW: Dark and Empty Industrial Metal Acidrodent A little over a month ago, Acidrodent did a bit of a double release by cranking out both their newest EP "Dark And Empty" and a companion/remix album to "Of Human Toxicity" titled "Divide - Dissect  - Delude". While the EP does seem like a bit of an extension to their previous album rather than a brand new sound that they've decided to work with, the five track release manages to change direction - if even in the slightest of manners. 'Dark', 'Darker', and 'Love My Decay' have a dirty, muddy EBM structure that's layered with the wicked industrial metal distortion Acidrodent has incorporated in the past. 'Dark' is perhaps the most dancey of all the tracks, but keeps a rough edge about it. 'Empty' is a grinding, slowed down piece, and 'Shitstain' is the exact opposite. There was a definite focus on pounding drum work in this song, and though I feel as if it looped a bit too much, it was nonetheless fun to get through. Acidrodent's latest EP is another absolute sludge filled industrial metal grindfest that sharpens your teeth and cuts your throat.  450

I've been writing for Brutal Resonance since November of 2012 and now serve as the editor-in-chief. I love the dark electronic underground and usually have too much to listen to at once but I love it. I am also an editor at Aggressive Deprivation, a digital/physical magazine since March of 2016. I support the scene as much as I can from my humble laptop.
