The trailer for the sequel to John Carpenter's original masterpiece "Halloween" has finally dropped!
This is the moment a ton of horror fans, myself included, have been waiting for since the announcement of the movie. The trailer for the sequel to John Carpenter's original classic slasher "Halloween" is finally out today, and you can stream it directly below:
Though rumors have made it seem as if the new script was going to redo the last ten minutes of the film, the fact that the trailer states Michael was shot by his doctor seems to dispel that nonsense. The film is following exactly forty years after Michael terrorized Haddonfield, Illonois attempting to murder Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis). After killing off plenty of people, he was fended off by both Laurie and Dr. Sam Loomis.
While the sequel film finished off the Meyers story, that and the many (quite bad) iterations of the film series are going to be completely ignored. In the trailer, it even has a throwback to Michael being Laurie's brother which is called out as being nothing more than rumors. Whether or not that will remain true in the film is unknown as of yet, but I am more than excited to see this feature length film come this October.
"Halloween" is slated to be released on October 19th, 2018.
