Auckland, New Zealand based industrial/cyber-noir act The Mercy Cage has released a brand new EP titled Five Zeroes: An Other Suicides Companion. The EP contains six songs in total coming off of their upcoming full length album Other Suicides: A Pocket History Of Cryptography. The EP features guest appearances and performances by Justine O'Gahdra-Sharp (The Gael, Flinch, DIS), synthwave duo Reapers, German-based Romanian Soprano, Kirine, the classically trained Venezuelan Session Cellist Carolina Teruel, and the US based Japanese actress Ami Shimada. You can grab your copy of the EP HERE and you can stream it directly below:

By turns droney, dirgey, experimental & pretty, ‘Five Zeroes’ is a collection of songs from the forthcoming album abstracted from the narrative that share an aesthetic, rather than tell a linear story. Though in a way, a there’s an emergent narrative all its own… -The Mercy Cage

I've been writing for Brutal Resonance since November of 2012 and now serve as the editor-in-chief. I love the dark electronic underground and usually have too much to listen to at once but I love it. I am also an editor at Aggressive Deprivation, a digital/physical magazine since March of 2016. I support the scene as much as I can from my humble laptop.
