Industrial duo Shiv-R have released a brand new single titled 'Cheshire Grin' teasing their fourth full length album Requiem for the Hyperreal. As suggested by the title, the song was inspired by Alice in Wonderland, and the technical structure from Ben Bulig amassing against the industrial renaissance of Pete Crane's vocals realizes this vision.

Chris Vrenna of Nine Inch Nails and Marilyn Manson as well as the composer for the video game American McGee's Alice provides an appropriate remix for the single, as does the always pleasurable EBM legend Leaether Strip and the hard hitting industrial hardcore outfit Ambassador 21. You can grab 'Cheshire Cat' HERE and you can stream it directly below:

Shiv-R has also announced pre-orders for their upcoming album Requiem for the Hyperreal. The album is a follow up to their 2015 German Alternative Charts topping album On Blackened Wings. Influenced by and sounding off like a mix of Prodigy, IAMX, and Marilyn Manson, Shiv-R is always looking to push electronic boundaries. The album will be available September 29th in both digital and physical formats.

I've been writing for Brutal Resonance since November of 2012 and now serve as the editor-in-chief. I love the dark electronic underground and usually have too much to listen to at once but I love it. I am also an editor at Aggressive Deprivation, a digital/physical magazine since March of 2016. I support the scene as much as I can from my humble laptop.
