The nation of Belarus is certainly not one that you think of immediately when pressed - but there's something that certainly drives its inhabitants - whether it's the gorgeous architecture of Minsk, or the snow covered Forests, Beauty is everywhere - no doubt driving this group.

Kaltherzig are one of a small number of talented Electro-Goth acts from the country, and their passion for romance and gothic imagery has earned them the nickname of 'Eastern European Blutengel'. The contrast couldn't be more tangible however. Whereas Pohl is able to release numerous albums in a year or two, Kaltherzig are much more cautious, fine-tuning their unusual sound to perfection. Also, Alexander's vocals don't have the strong accent that Pohl's do, stripping away the biggest criticism that Darkwave seems to have.

Using unorthodox Instrumentation, live Drums, and typically Baritone-vocals, Kaltherzig is truly 'Dark'. - If Belarus and Kaltherzig were unknown names on the scene before, they're gonna be elevating to a much higher plateau in 2012/2013.Currently moving in a more Rock-oriented direction, Kaltherzig is retained a powerful, winsome aesthetic, and implemented live Drums to create a sound lusted after in the Western world time and time again.
